Both, Mainly Getaway

What do you like most about your rig?

The quick set up. Getting to camp late at night and taking no more than a couple of minutes to set up everything is a game changer. Also when bad weather hits and you need to leave, it only takes a minute to close up and you are on your way!

On your average weekend adventure, what is the gear set up you bring with you? How did you navigate gear storage needs into your rig set up?

The Rig is usually around 90% packed. Filling up the water container, packing a bag of clothes, and picking up food on the way out the city is all that is needed. The Rig is built to be simple, but to also accommodate a lot of those luxuries we have at home.

Any custom details?

I love to DIY so the cabinets would be one of the details I am most proud of. It is built to fit our camping needs as well as side jobs.

Coolest place you’ve taken your rig to?

Up past Bishop towards Mammoth has always been one of our favorite places to go. Endless amount of roads to adventure and explore.

Any projects in the pipeline to get your rig even more adventure ready?

Currently looking at installing a more permanent heating source for those really cold nights. Also looking into making a couple more brackets to hold certain items inside the camper.

Biggest challenge in your build out?

Figuring out what you don't need. At first we kept adding more and more stuff to the rig thinking that is what we needed. After a couple of years of camping we are still cleaning out the camper knowing we don't half the stuff we bring.

Tips for others looking to do the same to their vehicle?

Take your Time! We always recommend taking the rig out with nothing built and experiencing it first hand. You get a feel of how you move inside the camper and start to have ideas on how you want things to be laid out. Draw your ideas and make them come to life.
