Is this your daily driver or getaway car?
Both!
On your average weekend adventure, what is the gear set up you bring with you? How did you navigate gear storage needs into your rig set up?
Of course our dually wide Hest mattress! We also put our camping chairs and fishing poles along the side or under the bed frame and our clothes/shoes at the foot of the bed. We always have our recovery gear to get us out of sticky situations and curtains that I made. We have containers that slide under the bed frame that we store all sorts of things in! We put our cooler and our food/dog food in the backseat of the truck! We have a collapsible water container to!
Any cool custom details you’re proud of?
The plywood sheets come off in two sections which makes it light and easy to move!
Coolest place you’ve taken your rig to?
Sapphire mine here in Montana!
Any projects in the pipeline to get the rig even more adventure ready?
We want to build sliding drawers under the frame so we can reach everything easier!
Biggest challenge in your build out?
Getting the bed frame really sturdy and keeping it as low cost as possible.
Tips for others looking to do the same to their vehicle?
Measure a lot and then remeasure! But remember it’s ok to keep it simple cause it will still get you to where you want to be and you can always add on as you go!
