Is this your daily driver or getaway car?

It's our weekend home away from home!

What do you like most about your rig?

The space. It's a full size truck with a Super Crew Cab. It's super roomy.

On your average weekend adventure, what is the gear set up you bring with you?

Gear essentials for us are: Ironman 4x4 15g water tankJoolca HOTTAP shower system, Dometic Porta potty Goalzero yeti 1500, Ignik propane fire pit (weather permitting),  DIY diesel heater (weather permitting), Jetboil Genesis basecamp and mini stove,  5-20lb propane tank depending on trip,  HEST Dually Wide, and 2 Frontrunner cases for miscellaneous gear.

For gear storageIi built out my own cabinet system complete with microwave and sink top. It hides all our gear for a clean no clutter setup.

Any cool custom details you’re proud of?

I DIY built out the camper interior build!

Coolest place you’ve taken your rig to?

Would have to say Alstrom Point in AZ.

Any projects in the pipeline to get your rig even more adventure ready?

Eventually a proper dual battery system using Redarc and battleborn batteries. But for now our system works. Also working on the plumbing system for our water needs.

Biggest challenge in your build out?

The planning involved. For a first time builder, measurements are KEY. Having the right tools helps a ton but just trying to visualize the build takes time and patience.

Tips for others looking to do the same to their vehicle?

Know what you want and what you plan to bring. Plan where you think you want things stored. Yes things will always change - but if you have a list of your essential gear, those things will always go with you. If I had to do the build over again, I'd sketch it out the rough draft on paper or a digital platform, then measure everything out. Id' then order the metal precuts and tapped.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: HAVE FUN WITH IT!
