The Inaugural HESTIVAL is teeing off Friday, April 29- Sunday, May 1 at Big B’s Delicious Orchard in Hotchkiss, Colorado and we couldn’t be more pumped to kick off the camping season in a beautiful location with old and new friends!

 A HESTIVAL pass is required for entry, and if you haven’t already PLEASE, please fill out this REGISTRATION FORM so we can ensure you have the best weekend experience.  

 Here’s everything you need to know and more as you are planning your trip to HESTIVAL! Oh btw, we are SOLD OUT- all activities listed below will require a pre-purchased HESTIVAL Pass.

IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Check-in:

Friday, April 29th from 3-6pm:  When you arrive at Big B’s Delicious Orchards  (address for Google Maps 39126 CO-133, Hotchkiss, CO 81419 ) please swing by the HESTIVAL Welcome/Check-in booth set up at the entrance of the Orchard Store/Cafe. All we need is the first, last name and email you bought your HESTIVAL passes under.

 We will assign you a camp spot, which depends on  a.) your rig and group size (read: registration form)  b.) first come, first serve basis, you are welcome to come before 3pm, but you will not be assigned a space until 3pm.  

There are NO pre-assigned camp spots, late arrivals (after 10pm on Friday) will be assigned spots based on your registration form and availability. 

Event Waiver:

Everyone ( Adults + Adults for minors) must sign this EVENT WAIVER upon entry to HESTIVAL. Signing Waivers digitally prior to arrival is encouraged.

 

Meals:

Meals PROVIDED  by HESTIVAL: Breakfast & Dinner on Saturday 4/30, Breakfast on 5/1 + Snacks & Free Happy Hour Big B’s Cider  Meals. 

NOT Provided by HESTIVAL: Dinner on Friday 4/29 and Lunch on Saturday 4/30.

 

Free Shuttle + Activity Reservations:

If you’d like to partake in our Free Shuttle for Mountain Biking or Hiking on Saturday, April 30th, a shuttle reservation is required!

 >> Iron on Patches with Ripton 

 >> Trail Run from Orchard with SCARPA on Sunday

 

Live Music!

We are super excited to welcome an outstanding live music lineup throughout the weekend!

 

PACKING LIST

We are expecting sunny weather with highs in the low 70’s/high 60’s and overnight lows in mid-40’s - so pack accordingly!  Springtime in Colorado is notoriously windy. 

Recommended Gear:  

 

  • Camping Rig/Setup (Tent, Camper, RV, Van, Truck)  
  •  Sleeping Bag  
  •  Camping Pad ( may we recommend a HEST Mattress?)  
  •  Pillow (HEST Pillows are dreamy!)  
  •  Camp Chair 
  •  Headlamp  
  •  Clothing- appropriate for spring conditions predicted above! 
  •  Sturdy footwear for walking around orchard  
  •  Rain Jacket  
  •  Personal Toiletries   
  •  Sunscreen 
  • Sunglasses  
  •  Hiking &/or Biking Gear  
  •  Water Bottle  
  •  Camp Towel  
  •  Food: HESTIVAL will be covering all meals except Dinner on 4/29 and Lunch on 4/30. Big B’s full service cafe will be open, but bringing snacks is recommended!  
  •  Personal Drinks: HESTIVAL will be providing free Big B’s Cider both days from 4-6pm, bring any additional drinks on your own.

Campground Amenities:

Camping at Big B’s is “rustic” and dreamy at the same time, here are the amenities available on the property throughout the weekend:  

 

  • Potable Water Spigots  
  •  Toilets  
  •  Hot Showers by Geyser Systems  
  •  Charging Station for limited devices  
  •  Fire Pit  
  •  No Hookups! We welcome solar panels, and generators are ok to run until 10PM.

 

Kids/Dogs:

Yes, your little ones and fur babies are welcomed to attend HESTIVAL- each parent/guardian is responsible for their children and pets throughout the entire weekend. Please clean up after your dog and we keep them on the leash in group zones like Basecamp. We have plenty of kid friendly activities planned. Recommend bringing your kids extra snacks and food depending on their eating habits.

 

Other Area Activities:

You are free to come and go as you please from HESTIVAL, and if you prefer to do other activities outside of our organized activities, here are some suggestions on fun things to do in the area:
