"I went back and forth on buying the HEST Foamy for literally years. It just seemed way too expensive for a camping mattress, especially after owning plenty of foam pads and air mattresses that I was never really happy with. I’ve also paid the “overland tax” more times than I’d like to admit, spending way too much on products that were supposed to be great and ended up being pretty average. So I kept convincing myself the Foamy would probably be the same. I finally bought one and just used it for the first time. I was wrong. It was easily the best night of sleep I’ve ever had camping or sleeping in my vehicle on the trail. It was actually more comfortable than most hotel beds I’ve slept in. I’ve tried air mattresses, memory foam pads and all kinds of camping mattresses over the years, and nothing has been close. Yes, it’s expensive. But after one night on it, I wish I hadn’t spent years talking myself out of buying it."
"I wanted to give myself a couple of weeks with this mattress before writing a review because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just excited about a new mattress. But after sleeping on it for weeks now, I can confidently say… This thing is AMAZING. Ever since giving birth to my first daughter, postpartum has been rough on my body. I’ve had constant back pain, and getting good sleep has been incredibly difficult especially because I’m breastfeeding and waking up multiple times throughout the night. I originally discovered HEST for a completely different reason. We were visiting my mother-in-law, and the queen bed there obviously wasn’t as large as our king at home. When you have a baby sleeping with you, you need ALL the space you can get. 😂 So I started looking for a good travel mattress. I was initially looking at EXPED because I wanted something that could inflate and deflate, but then I started seeing video after video of people absolutely RAVING about HEST. I looked at the reviews, and they were overwhelmingly amazing. There was a sale going on, and my local REI had one in stock, so I figured I’d give it a try. I was NOT expecting what happened that first night. I woke up… WITHOUT BACK PAIN. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was still waking up throughout the night to breastfeed, so it wasn’t like I suddenly got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. 😂 But somehow, I woke up feeling rested and my back felt AMAZING. That was when I knew this mattress was different. My husband ended up getting one too, and we connected them together to make one huge sleeping surface. I also got the HEST pillow, and it is SO incredibly comfortable. And then we realized something kind of crazy… We had been sleeping on a $4,000 8 Sleep mattress. The 8 Sleep is an incredible mattress with heating and cooling technology, but after sleeping on HEST, we ended up completely replacing it. I genuinely prefer the HEST. Not because it has all the fancy technology. Not because it costs $4,000. But because I wake up feeling better. My back feels better. I sleep comfortably and even when my baby wakes me up throughout the night, I don’t wake up feeling like my back has been destroyed. My sister actually ended up getting one too, and she told me her back pain is gone as well. That was honestly the biggest surprise of all I bought this because I wanted extra sleeping space while traveling, and somehow I ended up finding a mattress that I prefer over a $4,000 mattress at home. We also want to eventually get the HEST comforter, but we’ll have to wait for another sale. We went from two incomes to one, so we have to be a little more careful with bigger purchases these days. But the mattress and pillow? 100% worth every penny. HEST, thank you for making such an incredible product. ❤️ I truly hope you guys stay in business forever because I don’t know what we’re going to do if we ever have to replace these! 😂 If you’ve been on the fence about getting a HEST, especially if you struggle with back pain or just want an incredibly comfortable mattress, I seriously cannot recommend it enough."

They fit our camper perfectly while giving us the comfort and support we were missing from traditional camper cushions. "I’ve used the Foamy for about a month and I can honestly say this is the most comfortable I’ve felt camping in my life. I mostly use it for car camping but it’s been in the tent a few times too. It insulates well in cold temps and it’s super easy to take off and wash the cover. I sleep better on this than on my bed at home."
"We’ve got 4 Foamies now - two shorts for my 3 and 5 yr old and two standard for wife and I. The obvious downfalls are the cost and the packed size. You quickly forget about the expense after you’ve had a solid night sleep in a tent on the ground, multiple nights in a row. In that you realize you can’t get that comfort without the layered foam and plush materials, so you make space as needed. 10 out of 10, if you can afford it, you won’t regret it."
