The HEST Comforter, offered in both a single and double size, is designed based upon the science of better sleep to provide the comfort and warmth of your home comforter in a packable, smart, outdoor ready design. The Comforter features 100% recycled polyester fill with no hot melt bonding, outdoor-ready-easy-to-clean fabric, and a clever cinch & tuck footbox design. The footbox keeps the comforter in place & supports thermoregulation throughout the night by allowing glabrous skin ( hands & feet) to easily stick out into fresh air and regulate your body temperature as needed for an optimal sleep experience outdoors. Unlike your traditional sleeping bag, your feet and hands can roam free of constriction! CINCH & TUCK FOOTBOX: Designed with an adjustable footbox cinch so you can customize your sleeping preference for a tidy tuck with draft protection or a loose fit for free range feet. When cinched around the foot of the mattress, the comforter stays tucked and tidy with draft protection as well as prevents it from easily sliding off or from one partner hogging too much as they shift positions throughout the night. For more ventilation, simply release the cinch toggle and hang your feet outside the comforter to cool down. "I’ve never been more comfortable camping. I had this down comforter saved on my wishlist for months, I’m so happy I finally got it. We got the double size, and it’s perfect for two people on our queen air mattress. The quality is incredible, it packs down small, feels lightweight, and doesn’t have that sticky feeling traditional sleeping bags tend to have. Living in Florida, I also needed something comfortable that wouldn’t feel too hot overnight, and this ended up being perfect. Light enough to stay comfortable in warmer temps while still keeping us cozy through the night. The cinch footbox is such a great feature keeping everything snug around our air mattress but not feeling restrictive at all. This honestly made me want to upgrade the rest of our camping setup too. Definitely planning on picking up more products in the future."
"We were somewhat hesitant about purchasing this item while at the outdoor expo . . . weren't sold on the texture but loved the color. Life threw us some curveballs and it took us some time to actually get the opportunity to try it out but this past late August & mid October we had 2 great experiences while camping in the back of our Tacoma. Combined with our HEST mattress it was amazing! Love the cinching at the bottom feature! There's plenty of comfortable space so you're not playing tug-o-war with your sleeping partner. It's light, yet cozy! Overall, even in the frigid temps we stayed toasty warm till we opened up the hatch :-)"

"I waited a few months before writing this review. tl;dr Worth every penny. I bought the comforter for several reasons: I don't like confining mummy sleeping bag, I don't like heavy blankets, the synch ties are perfect for the ends of my Van sleeping platform foam mattress, I wanted synthetic down since I've had many down items that loose feathers. I would say the rating of 45degrees is a stretch. I put on long underwear, Alpaca socks, and a stadium blanket over the comforter to get through 45 or less temps. I wish HEST offered a lower degree product that was also in black color. The green color stands out in my low profile Van life but the black stadium blanket covers it. I have chronic back pain and having something light weight is a life savor. Love that this is made in America."

"I hate sleeping bags and Ive been looking for something that keeps me just as warm as a sleeping bag but doesn't make me feel like I'm trapped and this is PERFECTION! It has a feature where you can tuck your feet in so they stay warm and in place which is so cool. I've never seen anything like it."
