HESTIVAL is proud to team up with the Western Slope Conservation Center for the 2024 HESTIVAL in Hotchkiss, Colorado. Our nonprofit partner is based in the North Fork Valley, home to Big B’s—the beloved venue of HESTIVAL Colorado for the past three years—and is dedicated to building an informed and engaged community to protect and enhance the lands, air, water and wildlife of the Western Slope of Colorado. 

HESTIVAL, at its core, is so much more than just a music festival; it is the celebration of car camping, outdoor recreation, community, families, friends, local art, live music, and the mountains themselves. Among many of its goals, HESTIVAL strives to bring really good people and really good music together in rural locations. Part of that mission means fostering an atmosphere where there is an appreciation and understanding for the natural world, and to be respectful caretakers of the lands in which we camp and recreate.  

Formed in 1977 to promote and protect Western Colorado's iconic natural playgrounds, the WSCC aims to build a community committed to bettering the land, air, water, and wildlife in their own backyard.  Through education and engagement, the WSCC has become a beacon for inclusivity in the outdoors and a reference for public land use and stewardship.
