We teamed up with muralist and outdoor adventurer Skye Walker for a limited-edition HEST x Super Pacific Pillowcase, and we couldn’t be more stoked on how it turned out. Skye’s signature style blends bold creativity with a deep love for nature—making him the perfect collaborator for a piece designed to bring art into your everyday adventures. We caught up with Skye to chat about the inspiration behind the design, his favorite camping routines, and what exciting projects he’s got on the horizon.

What was the inspiration behind the artwork used in the HEST X Super Pacific Pillowcase?

An owl is the first thing that popped into my brain as the focus for this collaboration. They are such amazing creatures and I thought it would be a fun contrast to the idea of sleeping, since owls are typically nocturnal. But it’s also a metaphor for dreaming! While we sleep, our dreams fly through our minds like the owl through the forest. I also wanted to make the trees and landscape of the drawing reflect the natural surroundings of the Pacific Northwest. Since I went to high school and college in Oregon, the PNW holds a special place in my heart.

You own a Super Pacific Camper, right? Tell us what you love about your Super Pacific Camper

I travel a lot to paint murals all over the USA and having a camper on my truck that can accommodate my gear and give me the flexibility to camp and not have a huge rig is imperative. I love the low profile of the Super Pacific so much, it’s sleek and looks so rad and in a moment can be my base camp. One of my favorite features is the fact that I can have my bed made and still be able to stand up in the back of the truck and not have to shift anything around with the bed, it’s good to go. Plus the interior design feels like an aircraft and gives you so many access points for accessories and lights.

Besides a pillowcase ( wink, wink) - where/what is the coolest canvas you have created art on?

The pillowcase is the best! Actually I really love it and how the pattern of the art wraps around it. I’d have to say the coolest canvas I’ve painted on is every wall I get to paint without restrictions. When I get a big mural project in a public setting and I get to run free with my art and ideas, this is the coolest thing to me. And for that art to live in a community for years to come is so cool to me. People see my art and it affects them consciously and unconsciously, which I think is amazing.

When camping, are you an early bird or a night owl?

I’m typically a morning person so I can get up, have a bomb coffee  and get after it, go mountain biking, hiking or surfing, or painting. By the end of the day I’m so cooked that I want to hunker down in my camper and drift off. But, I do love staying up late and staring at the stars and moon for hours as well. So I enjoy both!

What adventures are you most excited about this summer?

Surfing in some warm waves for sure is #1. But I also have a couple mural potentials that I hope align- then I can mix in some travel and camping when I go to paint them. I have a big hiking trip at Mt. Hood with two of my best friends from high school as well, we’ve been talking about it for like 10 years and we’re going to make it happen finally!

Any other exciting collabs you have in the mix?

Yes, this is just about to come out but I worked with RMU Mtn. Co. to design their entire line of skis for 2026 and they will be launching this summer!  Also, I’m so excited for this collaboration with Hest and Super Pacific- two brands that make the things that go along with what I love to do and getting to collaborate with ya’ll was so fun. I will also get to do some explorations in nature with my niece who will be six this July… we love to paint together and we usually do a couple where we both paint on the same canvas… and that is my favorite collaboration for sure. She’s going to be an amazing artist!
